Victim/Witness Assistance Program Services at CNSC If you become a victim of crime or are a witness required to testify in Municipal or Superior court, the Victim Witness Assistance Program exists to help you. The program is sponsored by the District Attorney's office and is funded through a grant from the Office of Criminal Justice Planning, State of California. It is a multi-racial, multi-cultural program. The primary goal is to help the people of San Francisco, who through no fault of their own, find themselves confronted by the complex bureaucracy--the criminal justice system. The program seeks to make this system more understandable, accessible and humane to victim and witness alike. CNSC is very proud of our collaboration with the SFDA Victim/Witness Assistance Program. Mr. Sean Do, Victim Witness Advocate visits clients at CNSC every Wednesday morning. He primarily works with the Asian community. He possesses a wide range of multi-cultural and cross-cultural skills, and speaks Vietnamese, Cambodian, Cantonese, Mandarin, Chou Chow, Danish and French. If you would like to schedule an appointment with Sean Do, please call CNSC at (415) 421-2111. If your situation is urgent, CNSC staff will page him and arrange for him to meet with you as soon as possible. Otherwise, we will schedule an appointment during his regular working hours at CNSC on Wednesday mornings. All information will be held in the strictest confidence. |
