A Message from CNSC Board President Peter Lam

Hello everyone,

Thanks for reading this Newsletter. I also like to thank Ginny Poon-Yamate for serving as Board President for the past three years. During her tenure, the Center had expanded it’s services beyond Chinatown and into the Sunset, Visitacion Valley district since 2001 and as from July 2003, to the Richmond district too. Positive energy from all the personnel and directors can be felt. Her dedication is unsurpassed. It would be a hard act to follow.

We are also fortunate to have our Executive Director, Julia Ling, on board for the third year. It is with her new "Chi" that the Center can serve more and more newcomers more effectively and efficiently. And a warm welcome to new board members Sammy Chan, CPA, and Bill Lock who will be bringing in new knowledge and resources to the Center.

With the help of all the fellow volunteers and staff, I hope to be able to pick the right course and contribute to the further accomplishment of the Center.
