11-13-2003: 2003 Thanksgiving Food Distribution Successfully Completed

The 2003 Thanksgiving Food Distribution has been hosted on 11/13. Although the food distribution was scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm, but the participated volunteers, CNSC’s staff, and the members of the participated Organizations arrived the site before 9:00 am. Variety food were packed and prepare for distribute to the low income family and elderly. Celebrities of the Politics and Financial fields, Leader of the Chinese Community were invited as our guest to distribute the food packages. The food packages were distributed in good order. In Chinatown, over 2,500 food packages were distributed from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Another 500 food packages were distributed in Visitacion Valley from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Chinese Newcomers Service Center would like to salute our sponsor - Mr. Eddie Tsang and to express our sincere thanks to those Community Organizations who participated in this event. We look forward to work with them again next year.


Every year's before Thanksgiving Day, Chinese Newcomers Service Center will prepare 1,000 packages of food of variety and distribute the food packages to low income family and elderly. To let them feel the warm and to enjoy this blessing festival.

This year, with the continuous sponsor by Mr. Eddie Tsang, CNSC has increase the number of food packages to be distributed to 3,000 which is 2,000 more than last year. The Food Distribution event is scheduled on 11/13/2003 and will be held in both Chinatown and Visitacion Valley.
