03-25-2004: Workshop about SSI and the proposed budget cut to the Social Welfare

Chinese Newcomers Service Center will collaborates with the Independent Living Resources Center to host a Workshop on 3/25/2005. This Workshop is mainly to introduce and discuss the Social Supplementary Income and the possible influence that will cause to the elderly from the proposed budget cut to the Social Welfare. Please join us to know more and to share you opinion. Independent Living resources Center also prepare a letter to the Governor opposing the budget cut, those who oppose the proposed budget cut to the social welfare, can ask for a copy of this letter, put their signature on the letter. We will collect these letters and deliver to Sacramento to show their concern. For those who didn’t participated the workshop, can sign this letter at Chinese Newcomers Service Center.
