2014 CNSC Community Food Drive

Chinese Newcomers Service Center (CNSC) partners with community based organizations, corporate and business sponsors, community supporters, and volunteers to provide its Annual Community Food Drive. The food distribution on December 4, 2014, at the Willie Woo Woo Wong Playground in Chinatown from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and the Visitacion Valley fed approximately 5,000 very low-income, families, immigrants, seniors, and seniors with disabilities in San Francisco. Since 1996, Chinese Newcomers Service Center (CNSC) and community partners have hosted this community food distribution to address hunger and poverty.

Bank of America was awarded the 2014 Outstanding Leadership in Fighting Hunger and Poverty for its efforts in helping low-income immigrant families. Bank of America employees also generously volunteered and donated holiday toys to over 100 lucky children in our low-income community.
